“That’s what interests me about The Doctor because, actually, look at the blood on the man’s hands. 900 years, countless very selfish choices, and he’s literally blown planets up. His own race, you know, that’s all on his hands. Which is why I think he has to make silly jokes and wear a fez. Because if he didn’t, he’d hang himself.” - Matt Smith

So I’m out on a walk with my cousin and pass by this house that is surrounded by bushes. And you can only see into their yard by this small gate. I saw this out of the corner of my eye and backed up and did a double take because was that really a tardis mailbox? Yes indeed. It was a tardis mailbox.

Staff WriterOur favourite troupe of comedic actors, Team Starkid, has parodied a multitude of installments. They parodied Harry Potter three times, with A Very Potter Musical, A Very Potter Sequel, and most recently A Very Potter Senior Year. They have musically parodied superhero galore in Holy Musical Batman, and alien films with Starship. I am not so sure if the latter was intended to be a satire, but it was hilarious none the less.
This year is a big year for Starkid - they have two upcoming projects. They have plans for a production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’s Judas Redux, and a staging of their own show Twisted. The latter is supposed to do for Aladdin, what Wicked did for The Wizard of Oz.
Twisted was a unique feat, as Starkid created a Kickstarter to fund the show. Unsurprisingly, Starkid met it’ goal before the projects end period. Imagine what Starkid can do on a good budget. In the end, 3,544 donated $142,564. The troupe raised more than their initial $35,000 goal.
Starkid has tackled many iconic installments and we can only pray they continue putting their witty satires on the inter webs. We are spoiled this year with not just one, but two upcoming Starkid projects to look forward too. Still, we are feeling particularly bratty here at PopWrapped, so here are five additional installments we would like to see Starkid take on in song.
